Weekly Update

Happy Monday, Hounds! As we get closer to our opening date and the construction is picking up speed, I want to be sure I take a moment to give you a weekly update. Our new opening date should be the end of October. After a few delays and design modifications, we are moving full steam ahead!

We will be hosting an open house this month once we know what our grand opening date will be. I will post more details as they become available.

On another note, we are launching a pilot program with the Animal Rescue League. We will be fostering dogs from the ARL on Chandler Street at our facility in the hopes that they will get homes faster. They will be getting free room & board, training, and dayacre with us as we search for their forever home. This program will be launched at The Moonlight Ball on October 30th 2010 at the Boston Design Center. Please consider coming to this fantastic event and supporting such an amazing cause. Our very first foster dog will be at the event!

Time to pick paint colors!

It was a fantastic weekend, indeed! The sheetrock and plastering is done upstairs! Time to pick paint colors, install tile, and get my office in order.

The framing starts on the first floor this week - stay tuned for photos.

What a few weeks it has been! After some minor construction delays we are working like gang busters to be open in October! The floor was poured today, the upstairs is sheet rocked and ready to be plastered on Monday, and we are getting more and more excited to open as the days go on.

Keep your eyes open for news about geat things to come. We are sponsoring the Moonlight Ball, a fantastic fundraiser for the Animal Rescue League, on October 30th. We will be posting info on how to order your tickets in the next couple of weeks.

Time to Talk Updates!

Hey hounds! It's that time of week when it's all about updates, updates, updates.

Today's team meeting was another great talk about sales and how to get the word out to all of you that we're really excited about opening and having you all with us. We're moving on with the building, of course, and really can't believe how quickly the month of June is moving so fast. There's so much to do! 

It's important to keep checking in on the blog to get the update on things like our Weekly Steals! And remember, we're also having a great deal on our membership packages! Don't forget that July 11th is when you can find the Urban Hound at the SOWA Open Markets! We've got a lot of exciting things to show and talk to you about. And if you want to just come around and say hi? We'd love to see you too. 

Here we are midweek and it's been a beautiful couple of days! With Wednesday being no different, the gorgeous weather was the perfect backdrop for our weekly team meeting with PHI DESIGN GROUP. We made some really great decisions today. 

Keep your eye out and your calendar empty for an upcoming SOWA date. We'll be able to chat about what's new, give you a really cool hotel sneak peak, offer tips and training info, and of course, any questions you may have will definitely be answered. We're really looking forward to it.
