Our Favorite Owners!

Hey Hounds! We’re trying something a little new this Wednesday. In honor of our approaching opening, we’re going to start featuring some of our favorite owners that we know and love!

Jennifer Saphier, of CRAVE Boston and Saphier Events, is Salem-native and dog lover who plans to use the Urban Hound this fall because of her coming nuptials. It’ll be a family affair, with Snowball and Roxie, who belong to Jennifer’s mother and grandmother respectively. Roxie, a Pomeranian, and Snowball, a seventeen-year-old Maltese are both full of personality and a ton of love. In fact, Snowball is often described as a cranky old man – but a wonderfully charming and very loveable cranky old man.

Jennifer’s dog Abigail, pictured above, will be sticking around for her Mommy’s big day however and is super excited.

But what does one do around Salem? Jennifer says that she and Abigail enjoy taking the city by storm, traveling and going to farmer’s markets. Salem is incredibly dog friendly with an open door, open treat policy and perfect for Jennifer, who is always on the go, busy, and ready for adventure. And while it sounds a little spooky and a little strange, both Abigail and Jennifer enjoy joining other dogs and their owners at some of Salem’s oldest cemeteries – kind of like their very own haunted dog park. 

We definitely look forward to seeing Jennifer and her family this fall!
